Hi! I’m Icíar, and this space was born from a deep desire to accompany.

Psychotherapy, for me, is a true vocation — a calling rooted in listening, in encounter, in the possibility of holding what hurts and making space for what has yet to take shape. Since I was young, I’ve been moved more by questions than by answers, by what remains unspoken more than the obvious, and by that kind of pain that, even in silence, asks for meaning.

I studied Psychology at Comillas Pontifical University in Madrid, with the conviction that psychotherapy is not just about resolving symptoms, but about opening paths toward a deeper understanding of oneself, of our relationships, and of desire. But what has truly shaped the way I accompany others is not found in books alone. My work is also nourished by a lived, embodied journey — one that is both personal and deeply ethical. This is why I’m held by four guiding pillars that intertwine and live within me:

the theory that guides me,
the clinical experience that teaches me,
the personal analysis that transforms me,
and the ongoing supervision that helps me refine my listening.

Each of them reminds me that it’s not about knowing things about you, but about being with you — present, open, and attentive to what emerges.

I work from an integrative approach, grounded in dynamic-relational psychoanalysis and in conversation with systemic thinking. I’m especially interested in how context shapes subjectivity, the marks left by trauma and loss, and how relational wounds — both from childhood and adulthood — remain alive in the present.

If you feel that this might be the time to turn inward, to revisit your story, or to inhabit yourself in a new way, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
